Nice shot but it makes her seem evil. Is that just me? Sort of appearing from the shadows.
 
To me, this shot is crying out for a hair light. It would really add some separation from the background, and add some definition to her hair texture.

Nice shot though, like the skin tones.

Really nice shot. She has a look of Winnie Cooper from the old Wonder Years TV show. I'd agree with others that a little accent on the hair would improve it a bit, maybe dodging the hair in PP before the b&W conversion might do it. Nevertheless, it's a really lovely shot. I'm sure her mum will love it.
