Kindle screen technology

[Dave in Wales]

Why can't Kindle screen technology be applied to camera screens, one hint of the sun and I can't see a blasted thing.

My wife is sitting there reading her Kindle in full sunlight and it's a clear as a bell.

O'h but my camera screen were the same.

It's being worked on buy colour eink is not available yet. Even when it is then it still won't be suitable for live view due to the slow refresh

It would be ok for settings/options though.

I was amazed first time I saw the Kindle's screen, I assumed the demo sticker had been left on from the factory!

Can't you get a screen hood thingy? I saw someone with one for a canon. It clips on and shades the screen so you can see it better in bright sunlight.

This is for a 3 inch screen. No idea how big the G2 screen is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Delkin-Shad...ectronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1332776292&sr=1-3-fkmr0

Fit an LCDVF. I've put one on my HX9V for video shooting, but it would also work with a DSLR screen for viewing in bright sunshine (and for video shooting with a DSLR).

I saw a kindle in the sun for the first time yesterday and I'll admit I was blown away by how clear it is.

I was showing him my new Ipad3 at the time and I was suitably embarassed lol

Try reading a Kindle when it is a bit dark
Thats why they sell all those lights that you can clip on to the Kindle.
