... although the the book menu system isnt the best its so quick and easy to use i cant complain, ...
I've organised my Kindle into 5 collections:
- Currently Reading
- Unread
- Books
- Manuals (CS5, LR3, 5DII, Tom Tom, etc)
- Photography (all my training material in case I need to show anyone)
Books added to the Kindle appear on the home page which usually contains no books, so the new books are really obvious. I go though and add the new books into Books and Unread which empties the home page.
When I finish a book I add a Bookmark to the last page; My Clippings then contains a handy list of all the books I've read.
If you have a source of free books then managing them becomes a problem - With several thousand books even using the PC file manager to view a folder for each author is a serious problem.
The solution I've used is to install Calibre.
It's a book database - really good - and free
It has Kindle integration; when the Kindle is plugged in you get an extra column appearing showing you which books are currently on the Kindle. Putting books onto the Kindle is as simple as selecting then and thumping a button.
