King Rat

Joe's insane Polo pick-up.
Now this wont be to everyone's / many peoples taste lol but I love it and have done, seeing the progress / destruction over the years.

The car started it's life as standard 1.3 Genesis. It's had custom engine parts for more performance, bike cans out of either side of the bumper to spit flames and smoke ;) Lots of custom metal work around the car, pick up conversion, arches from a trailer to house the massive 11" wide wheels.

Anyway.. enough of that. I will let the pictures do the talking, check out the full set on my FaceBook Page or in last months Golf+ mag (oct issue)

Great shots there, the pick up's no my cup of tea, but a lot of work's gone into it, which I respect hugely. It's not your usual run of the mill modded Polo, so still gets a thumbs up from me.

I quite like those:)
Theres a couple of rat motors I see driving round near me every now and then - I look at them and wonder if the police pull them over regular for checks like they used to when I was 18 and driving a modded pink Escort (those WERE the days :D:D:D)

As far as the pictures go (as this is a critique forum) , the HDR is clearly well done , but in #1 the bloke on the left side of the picture is a little soft especially on his face, this is also true of #3 where the focal point appears to have been on the front wheel and there is insuficient Dof for the driver to be fully sharp. Also ref this

Its a shame he hasnt told the DVLA who still believe it to be a Green 1.3 This also means that his insurance won't be valid. Also I hope the driving pictures werent taken on the public highway as the DVLA check is showing the car as being unlicenced

I dont think those rear rims would get through the MOT anyway with a gap like that between tyre and rim:thinking:

Thanks! The more you look around the car the more things you spot which have been done to it.. haha yea a little different to the norm.

Ha! I've owned a couple of cars which you would think would attract a lot of attention from the police but never really did, the odd broken tail light. I only got pulled over once for how the car looked and that was because they were interested in it and that's in 5 years.

haha thanks for taking the time to research the car.. you will be pleased to hear all the photos were taken on private land and the car has been off of the road for a while now and has been broken for parts. The moving shot was actually taken on the wall in picture two with the logo on..

Cheers
Andrew

I love modded cars and it's a shame insurance companies try and cripple people who mod them which is why I guess this hasn't been declared. It's a problem though as having an accident in it will ruin someone elses day.
Great car though and the pp works well on it.

Yea I know what your saying Paul.. Insurance is a bit of a joke really, so many factors that go into it and different for everyone. Ha but that is a big conversation for another day lol

Thanks!

Some very dramatic shots there! Love your processing! These are definately worth the feature! Cracking work! Looks the shots & I am a huge fan of that car!

* 1,2 & 3 being my favs!*

when doing stuff for mags try and keep all the PP he same ( can be difficult I know )

The HDRs are have quite an impact although I'd not have used such a wide angle as it has distorted the car.
