Kingfisher in the rain

For quite a while I wanted to capture a Kingfisher in the rain and a couple of weeks ago I managed to pull it off.

Sigma 150-600mm Sport @ 548mm with 5d mkiii.

Well done, perseverance has paid off. Lovely shot. A lot of excellent photos on your Flickr too.
 
Excellent control of the settings with just enough blur in the rain. Sharpness and pose from the bird are really good, personally for me I'd have placed the bird a little lower in the frame, putting the beak height about where the middle of the breast is.

Nice solid kingy shot.

Thank you very much.

I'm going to be having a Flickr clear out soon and going to have ago at re post processing my favourite images so I will give your idea ago.
 
I like the way you captured the rain in the picture. Kingfishers are one of my favourite too.
