Hi john . the background to the bird was in in deep shade and very dark to begin with , I just selected the bird in PS and put it on its own layer and then darkened the background a touch more to smooth out a few lighter blotches

Looking good Steve........only thing for me is the image is too big to see it all on my laptop, I have to scroll to see the image.........of course it could just be my settings I have to knock back to 33% to see it whole
