Went out with purpleclouds today hunting Kingfishers. We saw a hat full but they were a little too quick for me. I took a couple of reflex shots and you can just about make one out in the photo.

Seriously though had a great time and saw 600% more Kingfishers than I have ever before in my puff so the day was not all lost and met a great bloke to boot Thanks for taking me along today mate thouroughly enjoyed it and look forward to the next attempt.

Bring some fish next time.

purpleclouds was a great guide and didn't disappoint. It was a great location and six hours wandering around and chatting soon went by. The bloke walking into the river and into shot with his dog oblivious to us and throwing sticks up the river had a nice fright when he turned round and saw us glaring at him. It was worth it for that look alone imo

Thank you kindly....never has a kinder word been said It was a pleasure to meet with you! I've been revitalised today, and have a new energy to shoot them (perhaps literally if they evade me again )...so hopefully, I'll finally get round to setting up a proper screen and so on!

That blokes face was fantastic! A mixture of and I can't believe he didn't see us, despite us being sat out in the open, no camo or anything, and barely 10ft from him!
