Hi all.

As a follow up to my last post. Regarding Kingfisher sightings this year.

http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=213742

I am glad to say that I was fortunate to see not one but two this morning.
The pair went about their bussiness for a good few hours. The male kept gifting fish to the female until suddenly bang, he got his moment.

The pictures were taken at very long range and are not the best in the world I admit, but I thought that it would be nice to share this rarely captured moment with you all.

1. Female

nice one, in the right place at the right time.
hope you get some pictures of the young

Thanks guys. I hope to spend time with this pair over the coming year and fingers crossed there will be some young and some better opportunities for a decent shot.

so not only do we have pics of birds that don't exist, (I have not seen a real one so I refuse to believe they exist, as with Australia, and many other places / things) but now we have kingfisher porn!

Not the best images, but better than any pic I have taken of a kingfisher...... (y)

Martin,

Where abouts was this... Just that it would give me & the other half somewhere to go with the camera on a weekend...
