Kingfishers

Very nice too :)

Though for me a tad too tight in the frame...... just how close and was this from a hide or using a Ghillie suit?

FWIW, the tight framing works for me. Outstanding detail in these images.

Juvenile, looks like a female. I'm guessing there was more than one around, judging by its body language.

Youngsters will come pretty close, within feet. Adults are a bit more wary but depending on surroundings, they will come quite close too.

Nice set, I'm ok with filling the frame but I do like some space when I photograph my locals.

Thanks for the replies. its the first time I have had them land on the perch I provided its a long Pole with a Branch on the end, but they kept landing on the metal Part so I was trying to hide the metal part . going to get a longer branch . yess there was two. but they didn't land close enough to get both in. was about 4 metres away in a pop up hide
Had another go Yesterday, but only one Landed for about 20seconds.
