Dartmoor is`nt that far from you and Kingsbridge itself is very rural it is a very beautiful part of the country, Dartmouth is just up the road and worth a visit too, there are some lovely walks along the estuary out to the coastline I`m sure you will find something worth photographing., if you want some really extreme wildlife try Union street in Plymouth on a saturday night

Mainly birds but also some other sightings. Otherwise try Slapton Ley, Prawle Point, Start Point, Thurlestone, Bigbury / Burgh Island. Lots more sites further afield but these are all close.

Nah, they all go down to the Barbican now!
we are going to hire a boat for the day out of Salcombe, if the good weather holds! hoping to check out the coves you cant get to walking ;-)

We went to Burgh Island Salcombe Start Piont and Bantham last year, we are actually staying in a log cabin just outside Bantham, omg I love the area!

I've been doing some family history stuff, and in the mid-late 19th century my lot lived in Kingsbridge and shot and stuffed just about anything that was blown in over Slapton Sands.
If it was good enough for them, and the wildlife has recovered, you could do some less harmful shooting...
