Kiss x4 (550d) body for £340?

OK, I've not long had my 450d, but keep feeling I should have gone for the 550d. I really wish I had the HD video capability. I've been offered a mates Kiss X4 body (550d) for £340. It's got 11 months warranty, and has taken about 1900 photos. He has done a few hours of filming on it though.

Do you think £340 is a good price? The only reason he is selling is due to an upgrade.

Good price however you will find video on dslr's isn't great, I've had 2 with it and didn't think it was great, better off with a camcorder I recon
 
Yes I'm not expecting perfect video to be honest. I just think it would be nice to have the capability. Looking at the spec list, the 550d has quite a few advantages over the 450d too. If I could get £250+ for my 450d, then it would make it a fairly cheap upgrade.


Hmmmm, this is turning out to be an expensive hobby! :D
 
its a great price but not much of a difference over the 450D, if you don't need the video then spend the money on better glass or a flashgun.
 
Just to update this, I went ahead and bought it. I'm hoping to recoup most of the money back from the sale of my 450, so hopefully this should turn out to be a fairly cheap upgarde :D

Now I'm just being tempted by lenses and flash guns. This hobby is eating all my cash :lol:
