Yes
this guy is 15-16 years old and is already sponsored by various companies. The wind was nasty and gusty but Sam was still nailing some great moves.

Some excellent captures here, 2, 3 & 6 for me based on the compositions. #4 would be my favourite if the whole of the right foot was also included.

Great pics 1 and 3 for me: 1 shows the ground, which gives perspective and 3 is great composition and unusual to see the whole rig in shot.

What settings were you using please?

i was using the k10d with a 17-55 kit lens mostly on the widest angle. I found it easiest to set it at f16 on Av and set the focusing at about 10 feet away on manual and then leave it at that. I then just used the drive mechanism and shot away without having to worry about focusing.

think he was on his 10 mtr ozone manta George, although thats not comparible to a fix foil kite (im guessing thats what you've got) as he is flying a depowerable.

Some great shots there dude! I'm a lapsed landboarder myself and some of these are great particularly the one into the sun and the invert. From my former life on the flexi forums I know that posting these pics on any kite site will bring you huge grief for shooting a rider whose not wearing a lid .. it's kinda frowned upon as that is what gets kites banned frmo public places. Nonetheless these are shots to be proud of on a technical front.

i dont promote not wearing a lid mate...sam just wasn't wearing one, and its his choice. He knows what hes doing, and i think its quite unusual to catch him without one.

Another ex FF member here and those shots are realy making me regret selling my kites. They really capture the action well

go get your kites back Craikey! i dont know how any1 can stop kiting...its far too addictive.

The only beach withing 100 miles that allowes kites banned them, well unless you were one of the select 25 in their club :shake:, I've still got a 2.5m so I'm going to take that out soon!
