Knock on the door this morning

and my sigma 17-70mm f2.8 arrived this morning its a great lens but does anyone have one of these that could tell me what the measurement markings are for on the barrel of the lens when its extended i think its something to do with the macro part?

Hi rikki1q,

This is a great lens and it is the lens that's always fitted to my camera body when I head out as a good all rounder.

The markings on the barrel are a distance scale - simple as that. Have fun with it!.

Just picked this up myself, extremely good lens for a great price. Replaces my 400D kit lens very nicely.
