Kodak disposable camera techniques

Hello,

I've been given a photography brief from my university. We have to create a portrait of a person or a group of people. The kicker is that we are only allowed to use a disposable camera and nothing else. I can't wait to get started, but my only concern with using such a camera is the depth of field. So I was wondering if there is any type of material I can put in front of the lens that could perhaps soften the image or generally give it a bit of a style (I'm willing to experiment!)

Regards,
Jonny

Vaseline for the grease is what I've been told.

If the camera has a built in flash and you wish to use, diffuse it with a Rizla cigerette paper.

If you've got optical slaves try adding another couple of lights.

Vasaline is a killer if you ever want to use the camera for other pics before you run out of film. You'll never get it off. I'd use cling film instead. But I think it'll still be too soft.

The old trick was to use a piece of stocking or tights. Gives a soft result and you don't need to clean the lens after.

Alternatively if you are allowed do it in PP
