Anybody use them? I'm looking for an 82mm UV filter to fit a Sigma 24-70. This will be a generall walk about lens and they seem to get mixed comments.
 
I have had one in the past, just for protection and stuff. Nothing against it apart from the slightly thicker rim than say Hoya etc.
 
thanks for the reply, I don't really want to spend £60 on a filter for a second hand lens so this seems like maybe a better option than a £5 generic one on ebay
