A candid shot of my niece on her Wedding Day a few years ago.
One of my very first digital efforts around six years ago. Family loved it but I should have done something with the background. No post processing of this.
Thanks Purpleclouds
No fill in flash.
I turned around just as she laughed so I just hit the shutter release.
Completely agree with your comment - spur of the moment shot that I didn't bother to edit.
Thanks for the feedback
Jim
Bit off fill in flash would have worked a treat on that as you would have been able to balance the sunlight. In your picture the veil and part of the hair is blown so to get a decent exposure on her face you need to light the shadows.
A wider aperture would have blurred the background out but it's probably not going to be possible with strong sunlight if you want to use fill flash as you're limited with sync speeds. A reflector I'm sure would have worked and it would still allow you to use the wide aperture.
Compositionally it's a 'bullseye' shot with the eyes dead centre but it's a good capture of a moment.
