Lake birds

I seem to end up shooting a lot of birds as there's a lake behind our house and it's an easy walk with the baby. The photos don't tend to excite me much, but here's three from today I'm really pleased with

Nice set very clear very sharp
Just be aware of the angle / position of the sun and your exposure setting,
that will help you keep more definition in the "whites"

I agree with what Cobra said, plus I would suggest that giving them a bit more room in the frame would help compositionally.

For example the Canada would benefit with some space in front of it to look, or swim into, this will bring the image to life.
