Lake District- perfect day

The Helvelyn group as seen from Lord's Seat on a day of exceptional clarity. A slide I scaned today from 15 years ago. Helvelyn is about 10 miles distant, lens was a 24mm wideangle with Fujichrome Velvia film.

That was one of the highlights of the day. The number of contrails we could see was astounding- a true indication of the airs clarity.

At first I thought the same, clone out the contrail, but it has grown on me to the extent where I think you should keep it

Otherwise its a lovely shot! The half and half, land and sky composition works well as well I feel, and the colours are nice and deep. Good work! Worth the walk

Thats a great view, i think your right to keep th contrail as it represents what you saw on the day.

Great picture!

The trail actually holds the eye in the picture. Without it I bet you would be hearing calls to crop the sky as there was "too much blue"

Just goes to show that you dont need all the new equipment to produce quality stuff
