Lake Windermere

Hi

This image was taken last year at Lake Windermere from the hotel I stayed at. As it was very early the water was still and therefore helped to create a calm reflection. The mist had nearly disappeared too, but there are still a few clouds which i hope add to the image.

I love the lakes.. its certainly a pretty view, but theres something missing from the image.. i cant put my finger on it..

when i went i stayed near Derwent, its well worth getting up early for the sunrise.. i cant wait to go up again..
 
:agree: there's something missing. Perhaps one of:
- foreground interest
- leading lines
- scantily clad lovelies
- a boat
- ..
 
I feel like I'm being drawn to the right of the shot but then can't see what is there. Not sure how sharply in focus the trees and houses are as the distant hills seem clearer. It is a nice scene but could do with a stronger subject so i know what to look at.
