landscape photographers - waterproof lens jackets?

So I have an all weather Pentax camera which is great as come rain or shine I'm there shooting away if I use my WR standard zoom lens but I've recently bought on the never never a sigma 10-20mm which of course isn't all weather. Now I don't want to kill off a £500 lens due to it getting wet and I'd like to use this in any weather so I'm guessing I need a lens jacket?

How do other landscape photographers manage with theirs? I was reading a few books and the author shoots amazing light as he shoots in any weather and storms produce great light.

Any recommendations ??

This may be against the grain but I don't bother. I once left my Sigma 10-20 out in the rain overnight (I think I had managed to put both caps on it though) and despite it being soaking it was fine after drying out.

I've also put 'non-sealed' lenses through 25 mile hikes through New Zealand spring rain (which is the wettest rain I've ever come across!) and they're fine - sometimes mist up afterwards but they dry out fine.

Otherwise, I think Think Tank do lens jackets that work very well.

I've got a large soft chamois leather that often sits over the camera and lens for moderate rain which is pretty good. You can acutely pick up a good quality one for £1 in a pound shop.
