Landscape Shooting in Edinburgh

Got some free time tonight and planning on going out with my camera, lately I've just headed into town and snapped shots of the landmarks like Bank of Scotland, North Bridge etc but is there anywhere I should be heading??

It depends on if you are using your own transport or public transport...

The following places come to mind which are a little further out of the centre...

1. Forth Bridges/ South Queensferry
2. Blackford Hill.
3. Cramond... Water of Leith and Sea at Cramond Island
4. The Meadows
5. Portabello Beach
6. Tantallon Castle.
7. Chricton Castle.
8. City Bypass... Light trails etc...
9. Union Canal at Ratho
10. Leith Docks
11. The Shore at Leith

Moving closer into town
12. Arthurs Seat
13. Greyfriars Kirk
14. Grassmarket
15. Southside and the Grange
16. Advocates Close
17. In fact all the closes off the Royal Mile
18. Botanic Gardens
19. Inverleith Park
20. Royal Circus

A walk down the Royal Mile from the Castle nipping in and out of the old closes will never go amiss. Try a visit to Ramsay Gardens and a detour into the Grassmarket and Greyfriars Churchyard. I always reckon that the Royal Mile gets a little boring towards Holyrood, but a visit to the Parliament is worth while.

Yeah I was thinkinh the Royal Mile and maybe the Grassmarket, if the weather keeps up I think I'll nip in later......and have a nice pint.

Well I'll have to go in later in the week, got home last night and started dying with the cold, as long as its not swine flu! Hehe
