Landscape Wide Angle

Still deciding on a wide angle for my Nikon D90. I mainly take shots upto 30mm of the Lake District so want something wider than 18mm.

Can anyone provide shots of landscapes taken at different settings: 12mm, 14mm 16mm, 18mm etc just to see how wide I need to go.

12mm isn't wide these days You can get a 8-16mm for APS-C if you want one, and it isn't a fisheye.

Hi Karl. I never use anything wider than 18mm for landscapes and if I need wider I just take more shots and stitch them together in PS. I find that with really wide angle lenses you just end up with lots of very small things in the distance.

Have a look at the tokina 11-16... Usually I shoot it at f8/f11, but it can go to f2.8... Links to pics on the siggy.

Thought about 11-16 and had an offer of one on here but it needs more on longer length.

I haven't got any shots to hand but I am really happy with my Sigma 10-20 on the D90.

I'll have a look and see if I can find some pics for you.
