Some days there is a blue haze. I note that the subscription-only version of Lightroom 6 has already been updated to include a haze reducer. It could be a white balance problem but failing that try going out on a day without haze......
Landscape photography is partly about recognising the atmospheric conditions which will allow good images to be made. Quite often a "lovely sunny day" will be the very worst to be out and about with the camera, because it will also tend to be hazy. North-west winds often mean a nice clear atmosphere because the origin of the air is the arctic, which is relatively unpolluted. If the wind is from the east the opposite is true - it is straight from the polluted dust-laden continent.
