Lappish people

Another First for me, an attempt at candids.
They are crap compared to a lot I have seen posted
but just thought I would share anyway.
A nice bit of colour in a white lanscape I thought too

The "true" Lapps are apparently very shy people until they have known you for a few years

I tried a few candids whilst there but I am sure they have a built in
camera spotting radar and move incredibly quickly out of frame

But Here's a couple of people I caught "unaware"

The reindeer herder didn't spot me quick enough but his wife did
and its a shame the bloody Reindeer moved.
As there was very little natural light
I was using a slow shutter speed,

Well done Chris, nice to see nice white snow too instead of grey.

Did you know if you listen reindeer walk you can hear a click, click, click from their feet in the snow?

It is a special tendon in the foot which makes this noise so they can keep together in blizzards when they cant see.

brave shots Chris, you could have used the flash and bounced it off the ground Did you get some good reindeer shots?

Cheers Alby I dare not use the flash, I was using a nifty fifty so was actually quite close, It was a case of hit and run
