Laptop for uni student

Any advice would be much appreciated as looking for a laptop budget around £500 for a newbie undergrad Uni student. 14 inch screen preferably for easy portability with 512 SSD (could settle for 256) Intel processor if possible, Windows machine.

Does Dell also have a student portal for buying product as a student?
 
suspect it is because I am using the AMD CPU not the Intel one
I don't do Intel in this kind of product the cost vs performance is overkill
you wanted a laptop for a uni student at a price point

bear in mind also if you can bag the 20% student code this is a £100 off so comes way under your budget :)
