Anyone on here had there laptop screen repaired?
Basically it was slightly under the edge of a reclining chair and I didnt realise and crushed the corner causing the screen get rather damaged, cracks all across it and cant see anything, just a lot of black liquid....

Just wondering if it would be cheaper to go out and buy a new one or to get it repaired?

Thanks

Tom

You could try ebay to find one of the same model which is broken in a different way, but unless it is a top end lappy you will almost certainly be better to go out and buy a new one and flog the broken one on fleabay.

depends on the manufacturer I suppose. it may be possible to buy a replacement screen on ebay and fit it yourself?

What make/model is it?

Probably going to be cheaper to get a new one rather than to pay for parts and labour..

In most cases you are better of just buying a new one, however if its a expensive laptop then might be worth a free quote from someone.

I have had one done before and it worked out far too expensive, so I just bought a new one but took hard drive and memory and dvd out for spares.

Remove the screen and attach an external monitor?
