Went for a trip to my local haunts, its been a miserable overcast day. Didn'treally manage anything outstanding but managed a couple of average lapwing photos.

The second shot looks good to me Lee - nice feather colours and a natural environment, with a slight reflection also helps. The first shot is slightly blurred - perhaps too slow a shutter speed for the moving bird?

The first is a nice action shot but spoilt by not being sharp as Russ says, and I agree with him again that the second is a much better image as it's sharper and got great colours showing in the feathers.

Yeah shutter was a little slow as I wasn't ready for it coming in. I'd been snapping some skylarks that were on a fence post So I was only at 1/10000. It was hard to get good colour as it was such a dull over caSt day. Going to go back tomorrow if it's nice and bright.
