Nice shot. Not wanting to go off topic but I'm not seeing any adders near me for years, are numbers down?

That name always brings back the memory of our biology teacher's (apparently traditional) joke: "remember that Adders are carnivores, so they subtract from the animal population".

Thanks, this one was captive at the British Wildlife Centre....
Like yourself I have not seen one in the 'wild' despite spending hours searching in all the right places at the right times, I have been invited to a place on private land known to have them in a few weeks !
