I use a Nikon D50 which is more than adequate for my needs except for the size of the screen. I helped a friend last week at a wedding,( purely as a back up while he was videoing before anyone tells me the D50 isn't suitable,) and he was using a D300 with the 3" screen. I wear glasses for reading and normally put them on to review my shots, but on this occasion I obviously didn't have time, I could however see his images quite clearly without specs. The other thing I liked was the ease in which he could enlarge the image with one button whereas I have to use two and then the control wheel. Now I'm not in the same league financially as the D300, and although I would love a D90 I don't think I will ever be able to afford one, so what do folks think about the entry level models, I guess I could cope without the internal motor and I could probably get used to not having the top LCD.
I have read comments about people regretting selling their D50s, but I couldn't afford to change without selling mine, and I would probably also need to do a part exchange with my telescope which I would miss, but I get more use from a camera. Any thoughts would be welcome.
