LATE NIGHT - NO SOUND

Help!!

Currently updated my Dell Dimension 8400 computer to Windows 7.

I now however have no sound.

Does anyone have any idea where I can get a driver or do I need to buy a new sound card ?

If you search around there should be a w7 driver for it available to download, if that fails then try looking for a Vista driver.

If you know the make of the soundcard or if its built into the motherboard try going to their web site and you will find the drivers to your motherboard and you can down load them.
I build computers for a hobby and quite often have to go to the web to find the drivers for sound.type in the make of your computer and when on the site the mod No of you computer and you will find the drivers. And loads of other info about your computer.

was gonna say go to the dell support page, then downloads, then punch in your service tag (look for the barcode on the rear/side) itll list out drivers for your machine. if W7 ones arent there try the vista ones.

Managed to sort it last night within an hour of posting - thanks everyone.

For the record, it was a creative audigy z something driver that i needed!!
