Yesterday, my Canon Demi arrived. It was in a sorry state with a seized shutter, crud everywhere, glue for seals... spent a few hours on and off with it today and now it's ready for some tests in the week (hence the film cutting session!)

Earlier in the week, I bought a "Yashica 35mm camera with 45mm f/2.8 lens" unseen for £10 and it arrived also. I had actually expected an IC maybe but this is what was in the box (and all perfect, I have done nothing to it)

 ... and you know I got that Taron Wide and Tele adapter set in 46mm with the flash shoe finder... dead fit on the YL

ha ha ha ..arthur...I am not Jealous at all....

In fact I am thinking of selling up my whole collection....just listed a Jupiter 8 on the ebay ( along with a darned teak wood sofa that the dear lady is so desperate to get rid off) :D

LOL I sold a mint Canon Demi the other week and bought a Konica FS-1 for £25 this week, mainly because of the lens.
£25? I bought another TX with a Hexagon AR 50 f/1.7 for £5 :D

Also got a very nice Fujicarex coming...

Keep thinking about your old Bronny Ujjwal... dammit!

If I could afford one of those I'd get a decent 35mm instead...

anyway, aforementioned Fujicarex II on the way, bit of a fixer-upper no?

I meant the Hassy!

Just back from the big city clutching an awesome little Rolleinar 55mm f/1.4... so if you were interested in buying the SL35E - tough, it's off the sale list unless you want the body and 50mm Planar as a package!

Also incidentally, I bought a job lot of cameras because nestling in the back of the picture was a pair of 16x24 UCFv Pentax bins... When the parcel arrived sure enough there they were, boxed and baged alongside a pair of Minolta 8-17x25 UCF zoom bins as well. To say I am a tad chuffed is an understatement!

Trouble is, I now have to figure out how to explain 10 more cameras... but I have a cunning plan :D

does it involve hitting her with a rock in the doorway, then saying a camera thief must have dropped them on the way out?

Well it didn't... but the idea does have possibilities :D

I was thinking more of taking them to the workshop

Oh yeah... in a house bursting with cameras...

The cunning plan failed, if you fancy a peek check the classified section :(

Whatever, here's the thing... a while back I had to "borrow" certain parts from a Zenit B to allow the MT-1 project move forwards. That left me with a few bits and pieces and so today while the mill was busily making telescope parts I sat in front of the polishing wheel.

You can of course imagine my complete and utter surprise (oh my yes, stunned I was, absolutely stunned... ) when I got home only to find a box with a sorry-looking Zenit B inside - works well, looks terrible, yours for a fiver, so I did :D

Put two and two together...
