Thanks. Not really sure on the time as it was done mainly evenings on and off and weekends - I guess about a week's solid work spread over about a month and a half.

Learned lots - mainly found out that it's a bad idea to stand on a chair by the kitchen window making a cast of your hand and upper arm, unable to move as the alginate sets when your other half thinks it's hilarious to whip down your trousers and write 'Kiss my a**' on your butt cheeks in pen. Oh, how I giggled.

Seriously though, it was a steep learning curve on this one due to the extra work involved in making the hand the butterfly using several stages. Very very delicate too - the kids learned several new special words when things repeatedly moved or broke whilst glue was setting!
