Far better than I thought it would...80,000, 80,000, well it's turned out pretty nicely.
Agreed !!!Meets the theme and interesting subject and for 80,000, best not to zoom in too much

Hits the theme - it's not perfect, but it ticks the box nicely.
The final result is actually quite appealing in the mood it creates
HahaaaaI like that, a bit different but I must admit I spent a good while looking for a sexy train driver or porter!
FWIW I really quite like the shot - something about the work your brain has to do to fill in the gaps.

TaThat's nice Tim!
Far better than the banner that was there (which we moved)Really nice capture.
I think my only critique would be the lettering.
I’d be tempted to clone it out.
HeheGreat shot Tim, looks a little like me after a bad night (the one on the left)...
I added the blue light for Ice (Ice & Fire). There are some others with a red shadow light too.Wow, they really put some work in don't they?
I like how cold it feels, and the wordless communication between the subjects.
Cosplay. That's Ashley on the left (he does a great Pennywise too) and Dasha is on the right (she was cosplaying Rhaenyra the day before).Great shot for the theme, lighting really works as well. Maybe the lettering intrudes a bit but does give context. Is this cosplay or professional promotion?

taThat's a nice take on the challenge![]()
Quite basic lighting really, but worked nicely for them.Inspired by a song
I like the lighting you've achieved and the couple are well posed.
That'll do nicely!
Yup. There are so few motor factors around these days (but then cars don't break as much either).Nice bit of history/nostalgia there, better than dishes everywhere
CheersVintage - well done on mastering those conditions to get the train pic. I think asa80000 should be one of the bi monthly tech challengers !
Song- nice picture and lit so well
Time - again very good and liked the juxtaposition with the ‘modern’ satellite dishes.

Yep, that’s red![]()
The light turning orange is probably because I'm shooting into it, so it's over exposed. Some great urban fragments Tim, I like the little bit of history that you provided in your time shot as well. I see that you have the same problem that I have with red traffic (or in your case "don't walk") lights turning yellow. I still haven't found a way to fix it.
Nice one, can understand why it jumped out at you
Perfect for the theme!
Very striking - well done!
Cheers everyone.Oh yes, impossible to ignore that one.

That (they) is also quite good I agreeIt’s a good use of the light, and she uses it well. I liked the picture in Flikr where she is reflected in the window
Thanks. It was fortunate that we had a sunny day which enabled the use of hard light along with a lot of fill from the light bonced off of the buildings.Yep, the lighting here is fab Tim
Thanks Allanas above comments its a good use of the light
Great shot Tim. I like the use of the light. It gives it a little grit and a little drama.
That light is brutal. It really give it a mood.
Yep! Like that a lot Tim.
Whilst that wouldn't have been hard to do, it would have made it less real somehow (in my eye anyway - I guess viewers wouldn't know)That's quite a dynamic POV. I do like the hard light, but I think if it were me, I'd remove the two bright light spots on the wall to the left of Shilpa.
The beauty of many models is that they have the skin to be able to pose in hard light.Really interesting lighting on the model - makes for a striking portrait.
