Can't see your LCD screen in the sun with your sunglasses on, then take them off.

Seems obvious really but I only discovered this yesterday, amazing the difference it makes, both when framing and reviewing.

:bang:

Relying on your LCD screen by looking at the image on it in sunlight is a very unreliable way to review an image for accuracy of exposure though.... with or without sunglasses.

If I take my sunglasses off I still won't be able to see the screen (no matter what light I'm in) as they're reactive prescription glasses

Not sure if this will work but if you have polarised glasses then turning the camera screen through 90 degrees should make it clearer too as the polarisation of the screen and glasses won't be additive.

Are you trying to visually assess the image, or are you reading the histogram?

I can't see my LCD screen in the sun, if I wear sunglasses normal glasses or no glasses :D . I have to use a camera that has a viewfinder :)

Then you're very unlikely to be ever certain everything is OK in bright sunlight. Reading the histogram is the only accurate way.

Found this problem when I went out one day with panny G3, view finder and screen are lcd so could not see a thing on that sunny day we had in the summer and then I noticed the battery was nearly flat. No problem I thought and then found the spare was flat - and then daughter told me -oh yeah dad meant to tell you I changed the battery. Oh well.
