LED lighting for make up mirrors?

I'm currently setting up a room in my home studio for a private changing / make up area but only have fluorescent lighting in there, which is entirely the wrong colour temperature for accurate make up when it's going to be bombarded with 5500k studio lighting.

I had an idea of using LED strip lighting (which can be bought in 5000k 'cool white' output) and putting it around the large mirror that will be going in the room. My question, does anyone know anything about this sort of lighting / have any recommendations on how to achieve this?

Thanks!

Clas Ohlson will probably have what your after. They do led bulbs and led strip lights.
Dean.

In fact if you look at the pic 7 you will see a heater above it is a flexible gooseneck, on the end is a 12w gu10 led, we use 2 per mirror for nails or that's the idea.

You can get all manner of colour temperature fluorescent tubes from warm white to cool white including daylight temperature, so you may well just want to swap tubes
