Lee big stopper / hitech equivilent?

I just found out that for my birthday next week, my (awesome) better half has ordered me a lee big stopper.
I have just had a bit of a cryptic message from her, but reading between the lines, they have either offered her, or sent her a hitech filter in it's place, i assume because of the backlog.

Now i'm not going to we on her chips at all so will just tell her that it is the same thing sold under a different name. But for my own knowledge, is there really much of a difference between the two?

Apart from a huge difference in price, then not a great deal.
Ive seen Big stopper sell for over £200 on ebay new, and second hand ones arent far behind.
Not sure what the current retail value is however.
The hitech is about £70 I think. They do 2 versions though, which have different sized foam gaskets, so make sure you get the correct one depending on what filter holder you have.

You are paying for the name more than anything, if that doesnt bother you, then the differemce between the actual filters is minimal.
