Lee Big Stopper

I would like one aswell but am put off by the additional £50 for the filter holder.:(

Someones just sold the full Lee system in Classified but it was for around £260.

I'd suggest placing an order with Robert White.
I got one from them about 3 weeks after ordering.

I think they are quoting 6 weeks waiting time at the moment.

Failing that try teamworkphoto for a Heliopan Screw in 10-stop filter, cost me sixty odd quid for the 67mm one. I tried for the big stopper but too long a wait for me. Heliopan one produces great results :)

I think I found one before one pre-order but got confused with all the holders etc. I think you need 3 seperate bits for the filter right or is that the ND filter? Its a Kit you buy along with the filter and holder. Maybe wrong though

This is what I ended up doing, very good ND filter and better than the B+W ND110 I have. Less color casting.

Where do you guys get these Heliopan filters? Woops, just noticed the quote above.
Thanks, Phil

Those Heliopan filters are HORRIBLY expensife. £120 or so once you take into consideration VAT and delivery.

Mine's been on order with Robert White for 3+ weeks now and they still can't get a commitment from Lee as to when it will arrive.

a 77mm is £79.20 + VAT which works out at over a £100 by the time you have it delivered for a £5.

A 82mm is £89.10

Lee Big Stopper is £80 all in.

Ah, you need an 82 mm one? I didnt realise that VAT was to be added but im not sure youre right about the Big Stopper. The £80 is for the glass right? You also need the foundation kit at least which is £46 but you would then need an adaptor ring which must be around £15. You can use the Gel Snap kit which is still £28 and attaches with an elastic band!

Heres the foundation kit.....

Im pretty sure this is all right but i have to say its all abit vague on Whites site which put me off abit from going with the Lee system. That and the fact theyre like rocking horse ******!

Yeh. You're right you do need the foundation kit aswell. I just assumed most landscape togs would have that already for their grads. The foundation kit is useful tool to have anyway I think.
