Just bought a lee filter kit and a cpl.

  • My kit consists of
  • a foundation kit
  • wide angle adapter
  • 0.6nd hard grad
  • big stopper
  • 105mm cpl and adapter

My problem is when attaching the cpl adapter ring to the front of the filter holder (a fiddly job..), the ring can clearly be seen until about 13 or 14 mm on my 10 - 24 (dx).

So for those with a wide angle and a polariser - how have you got your kit organised so that you dont need to remove the cpl ring when you want to go wider than 14mm?

As far as i can see the only option would be to purchase another foundation kit, but i want to limit the amount of kit i need to carry.

CHeers both

Looks like ill be getting a step up ring then!

the other thing to do is to remove one or two of the filter guides so the filter holder only holds 1 or 2 filters..

If you search the web you will find that the Lee CPL is so thick at the rim that it is bound to cause vignetting at wider angles. There are none Lee CPL filters of 105mm diameter that will fit your holder but won't cause vignetting as they are a lot thinner. I can't remember the make but they are available.
Hope this helps
