Whilst there has been a lot of good chat about which filters to buy, theres not much on which of the available filters of your chosen brand should be in your bag.

With that in mind I have the filters below and want to add to them, what are your recommendations please

0.6 Pro Glass
0.6 ND Hard
0.6 ND Soft
Haida Big Stopper

Thanks

Robin

CPL 105mm and lee adaptor! Brilliant bit of kit

Just buy the 3soft 3 hard and 3 ND's........ You will end up doing it if you're serious about landscapes!!!!

I wouldn't, its too strong IMHO. I prefer to use the 0.9 soft edge. I use that religously.

Too strong? In what way? You turn it to suit...... If it's vignetting too much it's because it's on too wider lens! I admit it vignettes a bit too much on the sigma 10-20 at 14mm

In terms of graduation. I mainly shoot over still water and find it will make the sky darker than my reflection. It leaves a very pronounced line too as its 3 stops darker. I use 2.5 stop hard edged on a seascape and thats plenty.

Ah yes in that case I quite agree!

Thanks for the replies guys. This is great information

Getting the vibe that soft grads are better choice for me, with some hard grads coming later. With maybe the CPL polariser thrown in.

Well of course it's horses for courses, a 0.9 hard is one of my most used filters - to be honest I could do with just a 0.6 and 0.9 hard. But each to their own!

I'll be honest I hardly use my hard grads but I know id want them if I didn't have them

Oops, well spotted Matt....quality better than Lee in his first post?......hmmm.....and I don't think there's a wait for Lee filters at the moment, is there?

Sounds like an advertising trawl to me!!
