Hi folks

I'm in the market to get some decent Lee filters and have decided on the big stopper and little stopper, I don't have the funds to buy both at the moment so looking for a bit of advice on which would be the better choice to buy first? I'm getting in to long expo shots more and more and going away on Wed so would like to take a new filter with me!!

It's not easy to advise without knowing the typical subjects of your long exposures.......6 stops is better for some things and 10 stops for others.

More easily stored safely and less liable to be dropped/falling off camera etc. Resin filters scratch easily and large glass ones like the big stopper are obviously vulnerable .

Thanks for the feedback, I couldn't decide myself so opted to use the old plastic and just got both on a bundle deal so saved a bit of cash!! Weather dependant I'm hoping to get up to Glencoe for a day to try them out

I have the big stopper, Id have voted to get that first. I dropped mine just before christmas and smashed it, it slid out of the holder when I picked up the camera and tripod. Im always sliding them in sideways now.
