Yes
I am slowly building up a set of Lee filters but am horrified at the price of the Proglass ND ones - about £100 each!
I see the Polyester set of 3 is £36. I know you get what you pay for but as they carry the Lee name surely they cant be that bad? Any opinions please

Considering what the cost of the gear they're used on its all relative so no shock that its expensive

I have seen good reports on them only negative being cost. I think a lot of people opt for the 16-35 for landscape partly due to filters being exceptionally cheaper!

I was talking with my boss yesterday and he recommended the resin filters to me as they are almost as good as the glass but far less fragile.

Merv, the resin ones are the ones you need for ND etc.

If you have a look at the Lee web site I think you'll find all the info you need, it's pretty comprehensive.

They are an investment in that you know you've got the best available, the resin filters are hand made hence the price.

George.

The proglass ones are about £100 EACH while a set of polyester ones is £36! Do they do neutral density standards in resin?
I see you're on the prowl again Tony!! No hiding place. Thanks george

I am in the same boat. Slowly building a LEE system. I have the holder and the LEE polariser. I am going to get the big stopper then I want a few grads and less agressive ND's. Dunno wether to go Pro-glass or resin.

Johnny do you know if Lee make Resin ND standards.

Thanks George I have spotted the answer now in your link. Yea it is a great website, very informative.

I see they're available in optically correct resin or high quality polyester. Also in pro glass.

The polyester is very cheap but I think there is only a small difference between resin and pro glass. The resin would be tougher and the glass fragile. Would hate to break a glass one at £100! In the context of the cost of my cameras and lenses it is small bier for the filters. Thanks guys

I see the resin ones are about £85 and the glass about £102 with some minor variations in price. So faced with this choice tell me what to go for please. I know what a stupid thing to say. Thanks anyway.
Merv
