Lee vs Hitech holder system

Hi guys im just about to press the buy button after all your help on here on which filters to buy.

And i find myself stuck between buying the hitech filter holder or the lee foundation kit.

I know the hitech has 2 slots and no front ring but im not sure how many filters you can fit on the lee foundation kit as standard?

What do you guys recommend ?

Lee holder is sturdier and definitely worth the extra.

I think the standard is 3 slots, and then you can buy more and get the front ring

Yeah, I'll second that, the Lee system makes it very easy to add on extra slots and the polariser adapter ring at a later date, when you can afford it/require it. The polariser ring is really, really useful for rotating your polariser without altering the position of your square/rectangular slot-in filters.

I agree with what has been said above, the Lee is a 3 slot and more can be added or removed ifnecessary, The lee polariser adaptor ring is great but the cost of a 105mm CPL is a little high iirc my B&W kassman CPL was £260ish.
The lee kit is superb and worth every penny IMHO.

Yeah, I should have added that I didn't buy the Lee polariser filter either. I bought the Heliopan one which is also very good, nice and slim so it reduces vignetting and the 'degrees' (is this the correct term?) of polarisation are numbered on the perimiter which is pretty useful.

The point though as Dave said is that the Lee polariser adapter ring is still a winner, due its independent movement from the square filters, and then you can choose from a variety of brands as to which polariser you actually put in there. I hope that all makes sense!
