I have a couple of free days in Leeds in a few days. Anyone care to suggest good shooting locations?

City centre has some nice architecture and canal/riverside opportunities but like any big city you need to be careful, the Yorkshire Dales are only a little over 1 hours drive depending on which part of Leeds you are staying as is the East Coast and Peak District.

You should venture to the Victoria Quarter in the town centre, some very nice views to be had...

Thanks for the suggestions chaps. I had already selected the waterfront as a likely venue, but where is the "Victoria Quarter"?

Its in the main pedestrian area, close to Harvey Nichols....

Clarence dock/royal armouries area is good during darkness. (Nice reflections from the canal). Think the royal armouries is free entry also during the day. Lots of industrial/urban locations around the outskirts aswell, but, as stated above, take extra care

Outside of Leeds centre, if you have transport, there's cow & calf rocks at ilkley. Brimham rocks near pately bridge, otley chevin, ripley castle, the list goes on & on.

Type "secret Leeds" into google and see what comes up (wink wink)
