Would be grateful, for critique of these 2 images, including which one (if any ) works best.

The panoramic composition works better for me in #1 as the sky at the top of the second one isn't adding much to the photo. If you've got Lightroom then it would be worth trying the grad filter to darken the sky a bit, and the long waterline is very suitable for that.

Cheers Peter, already used grad filter on sky, so didn't want to overdo it.
