I really like that the focus and DoF is spot on but I think that I would like to see a colour version of it

Yeah - I like this, hope you don't mind me saying, a simple shot, well taken - in my humble opinion - but when I opened the thread it was the title and the image that made me smile

It's very rare I prefer black and white - just a personal thing - but in this case I think it works perfectly. Probably the simplicity of it. Great shot.

I like the B&W but just felt that the shell was starting to merge tone wise with the wooden rail and this is not the case on the colour one

I see what you mean about the tones, any suggestions on how I could change it to be better?
