Any suggestions? Been offered one for 450, I've googled it and researched it and it does look absolutely stunning. This comes with the leica lens too..So tempted!

I suggest you ignore the Leica badge and look at what else you could get for your money.
 
I suggest you goto dxo and buy the camera within budget that has the highest score. Don't follow your heart or buy something you like. Remember you will be shooting mostly brick walls and lab test shots so you would be crazy to buy something you would enjoy using in the real world because it simply won't be good enough!

My old camera had a dxo score of 94 yet annoyingly my new camera only scores 59 - This has come as quite a blow :crying:

I bet your brick walls look terrible now! Hehe. It must be like going from 4k to vhs. How do you cope. :)
 
It's definitely a heat choice, so so so tempted ha! That for its switching me to evik
 
For £450 (or £350 from Ffordes) there are any number of better choices of kit. Even if they don't have the red dot stuck over the Panasonic badge :0)
 
It's an ancient 4/3 Panasonic. It'll have lovely colour rendition, horrendous ISO capabilities and limited dynamic range. I've actually quite fancied one of these in the past, I believe the leica lens was the only 4/3 lens with a proper aperture ring at the time. The good news is you can pick up Olympus 4/3 lenses for absolute peanuts. Not worth £450 of anybody's money is the bottom line though.

Yup but IMO the OP's potential purchase only makes sense when focusing on the Leica badge and even then later Panasonic cameras also carry the magic Leica name and will almost certainly perform better in every sense that should matter to someone who wants a camera to take pictures with. I haven't checked the prices but I'm pretty sure that a MFT camera and lens which would be superior in pretty much every way could be had for similar or possibly even less money. So, what are we left with that's so attractive? The badge? Fine, as long as an informed decision is made to buy the kit for the badge and not for it's abilities as a camera and lens for taking pictures with.

I have an even older Leica Digilux 2 & its great (well it looks great anyway :) )
i treat it more like a classic car, ie only take it out on sunny Sundays..
the Jpeg files from it are lovely, small too & it has a really really good Vario Summicron zoom lens.
B&W's straight out of camera are nice with lovely grey tones & if you push the ISO up all the way to 400 lol it even has fairly inoffensive (in B&W only) noise that's almost grain like.
this camera is all about the jpeg as it takes longer than forever to write a raw file...
One definite is the EVF is a bit crap & after using single digit nikon bodies it's horrendously slow to use but all the controls are where you'd expect them to be & it is overall nice to use.
actually i've not used it since a trip to Bruges a couple of years ago but it would be nice to take it out again :)
