Does anyone know where I could hire a Leica M and 35mm cron/lux at reasonable prices?

I have an A7S + 35mm 1.4, and still I wonder if the grass is greener - at least if I hire I can find out..
Also shooting with my 5dm3 and telephoto lenses, reducing a scene to a flat pancake leaves me feeling a detached.

But you cant compare a Leica and a good 35 to a Canon and a telephoto

The longer the focal length, the further and more detached you become from your subject.

35 vs 200, the 35 brings the viewer closer into the scene and adds a dynamic that's lost with a telephoto.

There... I compared them :P

Yeah, those workshops are the best way to try out a Leica here I don't think any rental shops do Leica stuff (aside from their cine lenses).

..... or you could buy a 35mm for your Canon and make a real comparison instead of an apples and oranges comparison.

But he already said "I have an A7S + 35mm 1.4" so isn't he trying to compare apples with (hopefully) nicer apples? ;)

I'm just saying I might be tired of telephotos, which is what I use my 5DM3 for - and selling that would give me the funds for a Leica :)

Ah, I see. Wont you need the AF/lenses for weddings/work?

I'm not even sure I want to do any paid photography, I haven't really thought about shooting any more weddings lately.

I love the idea of a Leica. I've considered on many occasions selling all my canon gear but it would mean if have to live with a 1 maybe two lens setup which would be just too much of a compromise and I'm not sure that comprimise is enough to justify it. Maybe one day....
