I have been looking recently for a new lens and the 24-105L caught my eye. I have since changed my plans and could do with some advice/suggestions.
I am maybe considering now instead/also of the 24-105L, is the 70-200L F4 IS.
I know its quite an expensive lens, but I am considering getting rid of a couple of lenses and replacing with this. I hear the quality and colour are amazing, and I do motorsport photography from time to time and that lens would be perfect
Is it reasonably safe buying second hand lenses? I guess going to reputable shops/sites with reviews is the safest way, but is it worth saving money and going second hand, or save a bit more and buy new?
The other item I am after as I do quite a lot of sea/river kayaking and swimming, is a waterproof housing for my little canon S95. The code for this is WP-DC38. They do seem rather pricey for just a housing, but I guess at the end of the day its protecting something more valuable.
Has anyone used one of these before or have one they'd like to sell??
