Lens/Body

Hello. I got paid from my job which I got let go 2 weeks ago. I can use some of this and put some savings in as well and spend £500 max. The big decisions is, 18-100mm lens upgrade, zoom lens like a 120-400/150-500 sigma or upgrade the 400d body to a 60D. Ive just seen a friends images using a 400D and they're brilliant. The thing is I have my 10-20mm sigma for wide angle, 18-55mm kit lens which I don't really use and a 55-250mm zoom lens for motorsport. I don't usually shoot nature as is animals/birds so I don't think I need as much as 500mm zoom for motorsport/racetrack photography. What would everyone else do? Body or lens? Im thinking if I get the body then im set then and when I get a car if I decide to go more nature style shots then I can get a larger zoom.

Well, you said yourself there, you don't need 500mm, so why look at long tele lenses?

Also, you say you just got laid off from work? I would hold off on buying anything just yet. At least buy used if you must.

to be honest too i dont think you would get the 500 for £500 either and i wouldnt want a shoddy condition one either.

same goes for the 60d, you could just about get it body only from china for that money.

keep your money, you never know if you will have a rainy day and need that £500

I have a 400D/Grip and batteries to sell so I should be able to put £200 back in to my savings

EDIT: Its £500 from digitalrev I also have some trials bike parts to sell...
