Lens Cap Issues

This may sound like a stupid thnig to be asking but I have fitted adapters to all of my lenses to take my Hi Tech filter holder my 2 Nikon lens both still take the Nikon lens caps easily but my Sigma and Tamron lenses no longer accept their original caps. I assume if i was to buy a couple of Nikon caps of a suitablr size they would fit ok?

I don't know if they'll fit Hitech rings but I keep adaptor rings on all my lenses for each system and use Lee lens caps, they're 3 for £4 from Dale Photographic, I write the name of each lens on the front so when I look in a bag I can get the one I'm looking for.

yeah they be interchangeable if they grip the filter thread
